Nuno Espirito Santo is hoping Wolves duo Leander Dendoncker and Willy Boly will be fit for Monday's trip to Burnley.

Midfielder Dendoncker and defender Boly both picked up knocks in the 2-1 comeback victory over Chelsea in midweek, with the former going off at half-time and the latter in discomfort towards the end.

And they will continue to be assessed ahead of the game at Turf Moor, as Nuno said: "We have some problems from the previous game, but we still have a couple of days to assess and decide."

On if he has serious concerns over the pair, Nuno added: "When a player doesn't work, doesn't participate in a training session, it is always a moment of worrying.

"But we trust the medical department and still have a couple of days, so hopefully some of those that are outside can join us tomorrow (for training) and play the game."

While keeping his fingers crossed that Dendoncker and Boly will be OK for the clash, Nuno also has two more places to fill in his matchday squad.

Although the five-subs proposal – something the Portuguese has always been against – has been rejected again, teams can now name nine substitutes instead of seven.

"It was decided we would continue with three subs, but increasing the numbers of the squad available for each game," said Nuno.

"We can have more players on the bench. I don't know why and I recall the opinion of some managers, but it's OK. Let's go."
