Rui Patricio

Wolves fought back remarkably and it did not matter all too much in the end, but Patricio will still be disappointed with the Blues' goal.

He let Giroud's volley slip through his grasp as it just crossed the line and will feel he should have saved it. 6

Willy Boly

Also caught out for the opener as Giroud beat him to Chilwell's cross but, on the whole, looked assured.

Picked up a late knock which hopefully turns out to be nothing serious. 7

Conor Coady

Like Boly and Saiss, he benefitted from the return to the 3-4-3 formation.

So well-versed in that system, he looked a lot more comfortable than against Liverpool and Villa. 7

Romain Saiss

One of the better performers against Villa, the Moroccan picked up right where he left off.

Another solid display on a night where Chelsea's expensive frontline did not have a great deal of joy. 7

Nelson Semedo

Better from the former Barcelona man and no hugely rash moments from him.

Still not quite as defensively sound as Marcal on the other side, though.

Did show his attacking qualities but also should have taken a shot when well-placed in the box rather than looking for Otasowie. 6

Leander Dendoncker

Put himself about in the first half before being unable to come out for the second.

Again, fingers crossed he is OK for the trip to Burnley on Monday. 6

Ruben Neves

Returning to the side with Moutinho suspended, Neves sprayed the ball about confidently and looked pretty sharp.

Could still do more going forward but an encouraging performance from the Portuguese. 7

Fernando Marcal

Had to contend with the sheer pace of Werner and attacking full-back James, and he dealt with them soundly.

A no-frills kind of player. You know exactly what you are getting from him – committed, hard-working displays. 7

Pedro Neto

What a wonderful way to win the game! Such an emphatic finish from the arguably the standout player of the season for Wolves thus far.

As soon as he got it onto his left foot, you just knew he would find the back of the net. He relishes moments like that. A wonderful footballer. 9

Fabio Silva

Had the ball in the net but was a couple of yards offside.

He was then taken off on the hour mark for Traore. It will come for him. 6

Daniel Podence

Oozed class as he worked a yard of space before curling the ball in to level the scores.

Showed off some silky skills and the passion he shows in his performances is fantastic.

Him and Neto are really standing out at the minute. Joy to watch. 9

Subs

Owen Otasowie (for Dendoncker, 46)

His Premier League debut – not that you could tell.

Otasowie has earned rave reviews for his work in Wolves' youth ranks, and he showed what he was about against a top-class side.

Got the assist for Podence's goal and brought a noticeable physical presence to the midfield – something not really seen since with Alfred N'Diaye in the Championship.

Early days, but a great way to start. 8

Adama Traore (for Silva, 60)

Looked like he would have to go straight back off as he was limping, but was able to carry on. Did not make a huge impact in the end. 6

Vitinha (for Podence, 90)

Only touched the ball a few times, but did set Neto on his way for the winner and can put that down as an assist. 6

Not used: Ruddy (gk), Hoever, Kilman, Ait-Nouri
