The pair have been recognised on the back of a four-game unbeaten run over the month – winning three, drawing one and only conceding one goal along the way.

Nuno, whose side are looking to keep up the momentum at Leicester tomorrow before the international break, is one of five bosses up for the gong.

Also in contention are Southampton's Ralph Hasenhuttl, Tottenham chief Jose Mourinho, West Ham gaffer David Moyes and Villa manager Dean Smith.

Coady, meanwhile, is one of eight up for the player award.

The 27-year-old – who has once again been called up to the England squad – is joined by fellow defenders Kyle Walker, of Manchester City, and Chelsea's Thiago Silva.

All the other contenders are attackers – Villa captain Jack Grealish, West Ham's Pablo Fornals, Southampton striker Che Adams and Spurs duo Son Heung-min and Harry Kane.

The September awards were won by Everton pair Carlo Ancelotti and Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

Wolves chief Nuno last won the manager of the month award in June.

That month also took into account March results, with Nuno having overseen a five-game unbeaten run over that period.

Wolves have not had a player come out on top, though, since returning to the top flight a couple of years ago.
