Wolves to wait on injured Fernando Marcal and Daniel Podence

Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo insists he will wait until the last possible moment to determine whether Fernando Marcal and Daniel Podence will be fit for Sunday's clash with Fulham.

Defender Marcal limped off after seven minutes against Manchester City last week with a calf injury, while Podence missed out on the 4-0 loss to West Ham last Sunday.

Nuno remained coy on whether the pair would be fit for the visit of Fulham, insisting that he will use his remaining training sessions to determine their fitness.

"We have some issues still to attend," he said.

"Players that are recovering, players that had knocks from the previous games.

"We still have tomorrow to determine who's going to be in the squad.

"Let's see. He's (Marcal) improving but I cannot advise for sure what is going to happen on Sunday.

"We still have tomorrow to assess."

Meanwhile, Nuno says defender Jonny Castro Otto is reacting well to treatment on his injured ACL.

"He's doing well," Nuno added.

"He never quite stopped his rehabilitation in terms of muscular work that he has to do.

"He's been working very hard and he's doing ok but these things take a lot of time.

"It's about being patient, doing the right things, don't rush because a mistake in this moment of rehabilitation can delay his return.

"What we want is for Jonny to come back as soon as possible."
