It is believed that the left-wing-back will depart Molineux in the coming days for last season's Europa League rivals Olympiacos on a loan deal, with an option to buy.

The Portuguese defender is set to be replaced by young French left-back Rayan Ait-Nouri.

The 19-year-old from Angers, who play in top division Ligue 1, has emerged as an up-and-coming European talent.

He played 17 times for Angers last season after three appearances in his debut 2018/19 season.

A client to agent Jorge Mendes, Ait-Nouri has been linked with several top clubs across Europe this summer, including Manchester United.

The deal to bring him to Molineux is understood to be an initial loan with an option to buy him permanently.

Ait-Nouri has been used sparingly for Angers this season after he missed the start of the Ligue 1 campaign due to contracting coronavirus.
