Wolves have five call-ups for senior Portugal squad
Wolves have seen five of their Portuguese contingent earn an international call-up as the latest squad is revealed.
Winger Daniel Podence, who has impressed for Nuno's side this year before picking up an injury for the West Ham game, has been called up for only the second time.
The 24-year-old was called up in September 2019 for the Euro 2020 qualifiers, when he was still an Olympiacos player, but he did not receive a cap.
He could now earn his first senior international cap when Portugal face Spain in a friendly, followed by Nations League fixtures against France and Sweden.
Experienced goalkeeper Rui Patricio, who has earned almost 90 caps, has also been selected.
They join Joao Moutinho, Ruben Neves and Nelson Semedo in the squad all travelling from the Black Country.
Semedo, who joined from Barcelona last week and made his Wolves bow on the weekend, has featured 13 times in a Portugal shirt.
