A lot better from Wolves who had a job to do, and they did just that. Wolves were a bit sloppy in the first half and gave the ball away in some dangerous positions.

I can only feel that if they were playing a side with any quality, they may have been punished but Wolves rode their luck and really started to control the game. Neves and Moutinho completely controlled that midfield and the ball played by Moutinho for the first goal was X-rated.

Credit to Doc too for the clever run in behind. It's great to see Nuno showing so much faith in Podence who was impressive again. Apart from the initial sloppiness, Wolves were comfortable and managed the game well.

It's all to play for at Stamford Bridge now a win guarantees us European football. I said when the Premier League restarted that Wolves could do something special and I just prayed that they didn't let us down. Over to you chaps...

Perhaps it was because we chose the correct footwear, perhaps we could just stay on our feet better, but it was a comfortable win. Once the second goal had gone in and the curse of the referee had been avoided we could relax.

Some of our passing was careless at times but the shining lights of the restart, namely Neves, Jonny and Podence again impressed.

With the rest of the team looking reliable, without being in top gear, any nerves regarding the 'must win' status of the game were not visible. The patience shown on the pitch is commendable and the work rate when we lose possession is to be admired.

The highlights were obviously the goals as the smallest player on the pitch gets a header and were Jonny from the 1970's you would say he turned on a sixpence for his clinical finish. Traore aided and abetted for the second, it was a shame he could not finish off the fine chance he had himself.

Jonny gets my MOTM, not just for the goal, but his energy at getting forward so often and taking up good positions. Once again we were disappointing on set pieces with too many not even finding their way into the box when we were well placed to do so.

A huge three points towards qualifying for Europe, however there is still a hell of a lot to do on Sunday to ensure we play European football next season. In the end it was a fairly comfortable win and a tale of two halves again in ways although we did actually go in at half time leading.

The first half was very sloppy from us and we were lucky to not be 1-0 down within half an hour. Palace looked the more likely to score but a bit of brilliance from Joao Moutinho, something we’ve all mentioned many times before, with an exquisite pass to Doherty who did make a real good run and then headed in by a 5’4” Daniel Podence, magical.

There’s a reason Moutinho is the third highest capped player for Portugal, only behind Cristiano Ronaldo and Luis Figo, when he can change a game completely with one pass. It’s not even a one off and he is still our best player, he oozes class.

The second half was a lot better and we could have scored more than two in the end. Once we got the second goal, we just looked so comfortable and it was a lot more calming to watch than the last 5-10 against Burnley that’s for sure.

Jimenez got the assist for Jonny’s goal but what Adama did was special. The way he drew two defenders close to him, then just knocked it between them and bulldozed his way through was fabulous to watch. The finish from Jonny was world class, on the turn to put it perfectly in the corner was something Jimenez would be proud of. If Jonny can finish like that then he should definitely shoot a little more often when he’s closer to goal.

Man of the match is a tough one but I’d say Moutinho because his bit of quality meant we had the lead at half time. It wasn’t all down to Moutinho of course but that pass was the bit of quality we were crying out for in the first half and he produced it. Adama and Doherty both had good games too.

Going into the Chelsea game we do need to improve the sloppiness from the first half, especially when we were in possession because we gave the ball away far too often. If we play like that against them then they will more than likely punish us. We do have the quality to win though and we would have won there last season if it wasn’t for Hazard producing a bit of magic, a player they don’t have anymore. Let’s hope Chelsea beat Liverpool so then they’ll already have top 4 secured.

The result was just what was needed. We go to the last game of the season with something to play for. Just wish we were going to be at Stamford Bridge to see it.

Wolves completely dominated this game, though, once more I would have liked to see more pace when in possession of the ball. I do feel we give opponents time to get their defence organised. Bring back the days of the fast counter-attacks catching teams out.

That said, it was good to be ahead at half time. I can’t quite believe that this was courtesy of a Podence header, but he showed his quality and was in the right place at the right time. The Moutinho ball through to Doherty was simply majestic and defence splitting.

We were comfortable in the second half, but needed the second goal (after conceding late against Sheffield & Burnley). This was a well worked goal, created by a Traore and assisted by Jimenez who fed Jonny in the box. He twisted and turned, firing it brilliantly into the bottom right corner.

Moutinho and Traore both showed their brilliance in the lead up to both goals. The defence were comfortable throughout, although Boly was not at his best.

Doherty and Johnny enjoyed plenty of possession in the opponents half. Podence had another good game. My man of the match is Neves for controlling the midfield and keeping the forward momentum when in possession.

On to Super Sunday then. Whatever happens, it has been a great season for us again. Let’s hope we have something more to celebrate before it ends.

Seventh place all but secured and we have picked up a record points haul in the Premier league. But we couldn't do it with a small squad and Europe obviously hurt us!

No more required really than a 7/10 from everyone - even Jonny who had a first half nightmare but improved and scored a decent goal to wrap things up after a piece of Moutinho magic at the end of the first half.

Palace were poor and employed more dirty tricks than Bournemouth, and they got exactly what they deserved - nothing.

A professional end to the Molineux league campaign - the only down side was the failure to introduce Bruno Jordao for a long overdue debut. We could do with a Portuguese player or two.

Roll on Sunday - just a shame we can't be there.
