After three gruelling months without games, Coady & Co have returned in style – beating West Ham and Bournemouth.

In both games, they have dug deep into their energy reserves and found a bit extra in the second half to win.

And Coady said: "As I’ve mentioned before, a lot of it has got to go down to the staff who’ve obviously done things right over the restart.

“They’ve put us in the best possible position and given us everything possible, to make things as normal as possible.

“A lot of credit goes to the staff because what they’ve done, to prepare us for what’s coming ahead, has been brilliant, honestly.

“Everything is different – Molineux is different, you’ve got to check-in when you arrive at the ground – and it’s a crazy world we’re living in.

“But they’ve made it as easy and as normal as they possibly can.”

Given it had been such a long break, some Wolves fans may have been slightly sceptical over how the side would fare once the season got back going.

A loss to Nottingham Forest and draw to Birmingham in friendlies added to that notion for a few, too.

But ahead of the encounter with Dean Smith's Villa, they have managed to pick up where they left off.

Wolves are now seven unbeaten in the Premier League.

They have also kept clean sheets in six of those matches as well.

“It’s a belief in how we play, our system – we’ve done it for three years," added Coady.

“I think that's helped us coming into this period.

"We’ve watched the other games and there are little things that we’ve tried to take out of them and take advantage of.

“Playing in the heat as well which is tough, so you have to manage games a little bit more and control them as well as we can.

“It’s a belief in the players we have, the system that we have, and the manager that sets us up well going into every single game.”
