Nuno: Wolves didn't create enough chances

Disappointed boss Nuno Espirito Santo admitted Wolves lacked fluency in attack after they were held to a goal-less draw at home by Brighton.

Wolves could have gone fourth in the Premier League had they won by two goals or more at Molineux.

But instead they rarely looked like scoring against the struggling Seagulls, with Raul Jimenez registering their only attempt on target in the 90 minutes.

Nuno said: “I think we should have moved the ball faster in possession and tried to unbalance them faster.

“Brighton were very organised out of possession. We didn’t create many chances but neither did they so it was a game of few chances.”

The point was enough to take Wolves up to fifth in the table with their rivals for a Champions League spot, Chelsea and Manchester United, not playing until Sunday.

Nuno’s men will now turn attention to Thursday’s Europa League last-16 first leg at Olympiacos.

And the boss added: "We're not disappointed about (not going fourth), we didn't perform well or like we wanted. It's you (the media) speaking about the table. We are game-by-game.

"Now we must analyse and improve for the next one because Thursday we have a big challenge in front of us.

"It's about what we wanted to do. We expected this kind of game and we must find balanced situations, mainly in our wide areas.

"It's not about getting used to it, we know our opponents, we should have done better, Thursday is another challenge and it's always the same process."
