Rui Patricio

Stood tall to deny Firmino in a one-on-one situation in the second half. Just a shame that top save – on top of a few other solid stops, keeping Salah out too – was not enough to help Wolves to at least a point. 8

Leander Dendoncker

Did not make any glaring errors – like losing his man Long at Southampton – and was not troubled a great deal by substitute Minamino. 7

Conor Coady

Read the game well and had a fairly even battle with Firmino, although the Liverpool man had the last laugh. 7

Romain Saiss

Continues to get stuck in, winning headers and making blocks. Salah, inevitably, had his moments of joy but Saiss looks every bit a centre-half now. 7

Matt Doherty

Made an excellent block to deny Salah from scoring on the stroke of half-time, but this still was not his best game and he should have buried a close-range header in the first half. 6

Ruben Neves

Had a spring in his step, covering plenty of ground. Caused problems with crisp, clever passing throughout. One of his better games, for sure. Never looked outnumbered. 8

Joao Moutinho

Recycled the ball well, carrying on where he left off in the second half at St Mary's. Not quite as influential as Neves, though. 7

Jonny Castro Otto

Came flying out of the traps and continued to offer himself going forward. Looks fresher than Doherty. 7

Adama Traore

Klopp called him 'pretty much unplayable' afterwards, and Traore caused Liverpool a whole host of problems. Combined with Jimenez beautifully for Wolves' goal, supplying an inch-perfect cross for the Mexican to finish. The slight blot was that he was almost punished by Salah for taking too much time on the ball near his own penalty box. 8

Raul Jimenez

Skipped past Robertson, found Traore and then got on the end of the Spaniard's cross with a fantastic header to level the scores. It was a finish emblematic of a striker – after his double against the Saints – back to full confidence. Now on 20 goals for the season, Jimenez led the line with aplomb. Aside from his goal, his hold-up play was top-drawer and his passing was accurate. He is one of the best strikers around. 9

Pedro Neto

Another superb showing from the teenager, who has truly stepped up to the plate over the past several weeks. Gave Alexander-Arnold – the Premier League player of the month for December – a tough time with some tricky runs and dangerous crosses. 8

Subs

Diogo Jota (for Neto, 77)

Great to see Jota back in the action. He will be frustrated with missing a gilt-edged chance at the death, though. 6

Morgan Gibbs-White (for Moutinho, 87)
