It is understood the 21-year-old had been training with the Latics' development side for a number of months.

He joined Wigan after an impressive loan at Coventry in the second half of last season, winning their young player of the season gong.

But Enobakhare has come back from the DW Stadium earlier than planned, having only played a League Cup tie and made two substitute appearances for Paul Cook's Wigan.

It is thought Wolves are now exploring another loan move for the Nigerian, who featured a fair amount under Nuno Espirito Santo in the Championship but has not played for the club since promotion to the Premier League.
