Incredible. Just incredible. I don’t want to hear a mention about VAR, we should be talking about the character those players showed out there and their never say die attitude. That’s one of, if not, the best night I’ve experienced at Molineux. Everyone, fans included stood up and was counted. It’s a night that we won’t forget on what’s becoming an incredible journey as a Wolves fans.

Man of the Match

Mr no end product strikes again with another goal and assist. City tried to do a job on him and stuck three players on him all night but it was only a matter of time before Adama took the game by the horns. Simply unstoppable. A special mention to Ruben Neves too who was sensational.

Something to Improve

There’s not much to criticise after a performance like that. Every player won their individuals battles and the cream did eventually rise to the top.

Strange game eh! At half time I was thinking only bad things about football. The suits have ruined the game we used to love. We play the game whenever TV want and they have totally messed the rules up. Games are refereed by faceless robots. Fantasy football is all that is left.

Then after one step back we had forty minutes of delight before full time. By then it was love football, love Wolves.

Man of the Match

Tonight it was more a case of 'the sum of all the parts'. Jimenez and Doherty were below par, but popped up with goals. Traore continues his rich vein of form. For me though Neves shone like a beacon and was MOTM.

Something to Improve

Just two days recovery time.... my throat is not up to it.

Reaction to the Result

The game had absolutely everything and to win it how we did was just unreal. VAR did it’s very best to help City and we still managed to beat them, albeit they had 10 men but they’re still no mugs.

At 2-0 I never thought we’d win but Adama’s goal changed absolutely everything, the crowd could feel us getting something out of the game and the last half an hour was incredible.

The atmosphere was deafening and we had the City players on the ropes, never seen them so rattled before. The scenes for the 3-2 winner were brilliant, no better place than Molineux when it’s like that.

Man of the Match

So many players played brilliantly. Adama was the standout for me, his goal changed the game and the way he bullied Mendy for the equaliser was a joke.

Moutinho and Neves both had a great game, thankfully didn’t get booked either. Coady and Doherty both did well and Doc’s winner should be a massive confidence booster for him.

Something to Improve

Nothing to improve for me because the way we came back after being done over by VAR was amazing. The second goal for them was a counter attack as we were pushing for an equaliser, once we got the goal back the players did everything the fans could ask for.

Yet another famous night under the lights at Molineux.

The first half was ruined by VAR and weak officials, which affected the players and fans of both teams. The referee and the assistant (along Steve Bull stand) were particularly poor. However, the ref is powerless with VAR undermining him.

The second half was exciting and exhilarating. With the fans bouncing, the players responded. I had belief that we would win at 0-2 and so did the players.

We completely outplayed City. Pep was under pressure and taking off forwards for defenders only played into our hands, while Sterling cut an isolated figure in attack.

We were treated to another master stroke, from Nuno, who switched Traore from wide right to inside. From this point, he created havoc after having little joy wide. Our midfield also stepped ten yards further up the field and exposed the gaps created by having the additional man.

Man of the Match

This group of players is the real deal.

In adversity you often see what teams are really made up of and every one of the eleven stepped up to the mark. The late subs of Vinagre and Neto also made a positive impact on the game, with City on the ropes like a heavy weight boxer about to fall to his knees.

Step forward Adama Traore, for another match winning performance. He turned this game our way, first with his goal and then with the assist for Jimenez. Both superb examples of the skill and sheer determination he now shows.

Something to Improve

Nothing to improve on this showing. Both physically and mentally the team are on top form. Will the Liverpool game come around too quickly? Let’s see. . .

So we complete the treble over Man City (if you include our Asia Trophy win) but none was more deserving than this misty, festive Friday night in front of the Tv cameras.

A Glorious comeback, some woeful VAR decisions, cheating galore by the visitors but at the end of the day, the stats don't lie-62% possession, three times as many shots and almost every decision going against us.

City were as well beaten tonight as they were at the Etihad. Wolves were composed, thoughtful and resolute and are a dream to watch and support these days.

Man of the Match

Everybody again but Doherty and Neves were outstanding, only beaten to the MOTM award by (yet again) Adama Traore due to his goal, assist and general dominance of Mendy.

Obviously Traore and Raul were assisted by the touching of their shorts by Cheryl and Angela during our pre-match tour of the ground as sponsors !!!

Something to Improve

The use of and understanding of VAR. The penalty was never a penalty and the ref got it right first time round only to be overruled by a man who should never ref again-David Coote who clearly hates us.

We may as well just all play FIFA games on the computer if VAR is going to be used for things like that. But at the end of the day Pep, can we play you every week ?
