Wolves boss Nuno thinking about changes for Liverpool

Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo is considering making changes at Liverpool given the 'absurd' turnaround from Friday night's heroics against Manchester City.

After coming from 2-0 down to beat the reigning Premier League champions 3-2 at Molineux, Wolves are heading to Jurgen Klopp's table-toppers (4.30pm).

They are entering the encounter in high spirits after doing the double over City, but Nuno said: "Playing with 45 hours between games, it's going to be very tough.

"The players are good, they are confident, but the 10 or 11 kilometres (which the players ran against City) are there. That doesn't change.

"It requires a lot of effort and everybody ran a lot against City."

And on if that could lead to some fresh faces coming in at Anfield, Nuno said: "Of course, as (the turnaround) is absurd.

"There's no explanation, so all the decisions we make are going to be based on us – how we are.

"It's not only Wolves, it's all the teams. We cannot do anything. We have to survive.

"It's very important that we look and make the right decisions."

Wolves also have the trip to Watford on New Year's Day to consider – and the FA Cup clash with Manchester United at home next weekend.

"We recover, we sit down, we speak and we decide," said Nuno.

On if that decision will be made as a group with the players, Nuno laughed and added: "Well, maybe I decide."
