WATCH: Wolves fan Ethel meets Bully for 100th birthday

A lifelong Wolves fan met her footballing hero to mark her 100th birthday.

Lifelong Wolves fan Ethel Palmer, from Inglewood Court, Wolverhampton, got a big shock on her 100th birthday when she was presented with a Wolves shirt by her hero Steve Bull

Ethel Palmer, who lives in Inglewood Court, was left stunned when old gold and black legend Steve Bull visited her.

The footballer, who scored 306 for the club, took time out to mark the 100-year-old's milestone and presented her with a Wolves shirt with 'Ethel 100' on the back.

Steve said: "It was lovely to meet her on such a special occasion and she is a beautiful, unbelievable lady. I think she is the oldest fan I've met yet.

"When I came in she shouted 'There's my Bully!' and didn't know what to do or say, she was starstruck.

"I sat with her and her family and she showed my her card from the Queen.

Ethel also received a letter from Nuno Espirito Santo the manager

"I asked her if I would be invited back for her 101st birthday and she said of course."

She was also presented with a letter by manager Nuno Espirito Santo thanking her for her support, which read: "On behalf of all the management, players and staff at Wolves, I would like to wish you a happy 100th birthday and hope you have an enjoyable day.

Ethel gives Bully a kiss

"We appreciate the fantastic support you have given to the club, because we count on you and your fellow Wolves fans in all moments on the pitch and I hope we have given you happiness, joy and excitement in return for your amazing support.

"I would like to thank you for your continued support as we look to improve on what we have achieved and build a stronger bond together as one pack."
