Wolves' Benny Ashley-Seal beams after his Trophy treble
Striker Benny Ashley-Seal is delighted to have ended his goal drought in style – grabbing a hat-trick for Wolves Under-21s at Carlisle.
Ashley-Seal was the star of the show in Tuesday night’s 4-2 Leasing.com Trophy victory at the League Two side.
It was his return to action after a spell out ill and failure to score in the previous games this term for Rob Edwards’ side.
“It’s about time I scored! Last season I was quite clinical and I wanted to bring it into this season, but I’ve just been warming up and getting started to go again,” said Ashley-Seal.
“I’m obviously delighted for the boys to get the three points, and to score a hat-trick is just the icing on the cake.”
Tsun-Dai also netted at Brunton Park. Wolves U21s go to Morecambe in the competition next Tuesday.
“It was a big performance and now we’ve got to do it again against Morecambe in the next game – just go again,” added Ashley-Seal.
