Wolves have got out of jail with this one. A distinct lack of penetration in the final third was a problem and Burnley pressed fantastically against a Wolves side that looked shattered. You have to question the team selection from Nuno to play Doherty, Moutinho and one of either Jota or Jiménez.

Man of the Match

Man of the match for me was Jonny. He looked indestructible defensively and drove forward well, taking the game to Burnley. Something that no other player, barring Traore, did.

Something to Improve

Defensively we looked all over the place. Ryan Bennett got bullied and for me, he’s simply not good enough for Wolves - the same said for Gibbs-White too. The demanding Europa league schedule has saved the pair.

Reaction to the Result

We were well below our best so to get a point gives us some satisfaction. Unpleasant opposition who were able to go direct, bully us and seemingly manage the referee. The patience of our players is admirable, fair play to them for that.

Man of the Match

Patricio again pulled off an excellent save to prevent it being 0-2. Few outfield players covered themselves in glory with patchy performances throughout. Boly again stood out, his physical presence just seems to be more influential than ever. Man of the match.

Something to Improve

If there was opta stats for winning the second ball, then it would say something like 80-20 against us. Routine long balls to their front two found out Bennett and Coady in particular far too often. We were out muscled too easily. More shots on target please.

On the basis of the game, we’ve got away with one big time because Burnley deserved to win. The team selection was wrong for me personally and we weren’t at the races all game. Traore should have started and when he came on he proved that, Gibbs-White starting didn’t really have too much of an effect and we played the game into Burnley’s hands for large parts. It’s a game we should be winning but considering how bad we were, it’s not exactly a bad point. Jimenez deserves big credit because that was a huge penalty and he was calm about it.

Man of the Match

No one really played well, the players obviously tried and I’m not going to make excuses with tiredness from Thursday because to me it wasn’t down to that. Jimenez dispatched the penalty when we were desperate for an equaliser but Traore once again showed exactly why he should be starting at RWB, as soon as he came on he made a difference and Burnley were panicking whenever he had the ball.

Something to Improve

We were far too slow at times on the ball today and when we are chasing a game against a side sitting back, Bennett is pretty much useless. We still need to improve at breaking teams down but I think Adama Traore is so key for that which is why he has to be playing more. Also it wasn’t our fault too much due to a very good finish from Barnes but we can’t keep conceding first in the Premier League because the way we’re set up, we are best when we go a goal up and can counter teams

I came away feeling pleased with such a late equaliser, however, this really was 2 points dropped. I think Nuno got the starting 11 wrong here and was disappointed with the low impact of those players who hadn’t played in Turin. Traore should have started without doubt. We know how Burnley play and you need players to get behind their back line with the ball.

Man of the Match

I think there were some tired legs out there and few standout performances. Bennett, Doherty, Neves, Gibbs-White and Jota were poor. Patricio, Coady, Boly, Moutinho and Johnny were good. Dendoncker, Neto and Traore all did well when coming on. All were needed sooner.

My Man of the Match was Jimenez. Tireless effort from him. Unlucky when he turned and hit the post and remained calm to score from the spot under pressure.

Something to Improve

The trend in the first three league games has been to sit back in the first half and be more adventurous in the second. I’d prefer us to be more positive in looking to take an early lead. There was a good case for Traore and Vinagre to start against Burnley and at least one should have.

I’m confused why a Traore was taken off in Turin, if it wasn’t to keep him fresh for Burnley?

Reaction to the Result

Almost like after the Lord Mayor's Show with the masterclass in Turin, and earlier on the scorching Bank Holiday Sunday, a display from Ben Stokes that had the packed Duke of York (aka The Tap) crowd in town in raptures, then in fits of utter delirium. The match v Burnley could never live up to those high points but a brilliant Ashley Barnes goal put the visitors in front as we struggled to get out of second gear with over and under hit passes and losing most of the 50-50 challenges. But cometh the hour, cometh the man.......

Man of the Match

Dendoncker and Traore when they were introduced just added some depth to our play and kept Burnley on the back foot but Boly would just shade the MOM for me.

Something to Improve

We looked a little flat at times with the understandable squad rotation not working on this occasion.
