Wolves' Ruben Neves hails Cristiano Ronaldo as best of all time
Wolves star Ruben Neves believes Portugal team-mate Cristiano Ronaldo is the best footballer the world has ever seen.
Neves and Ronaldo both featured as Portugal won the Nations League this past weekend, with the latter scoring a hat-trick in the semi-final triumph over Switzerland.
It has long been argued whether Lionel Messi or Ronaldo is the best currently playing, but pass-master Neves insists there is no debate to be had.
“I can’t see anyone better than him,” he said on Ronaldo.
“Cristiano is the best. He showed that in the semi-finals and again (in the 1-0 final win against the Netherlands). We are lucky to have him in our team.”
And on if Ronaldo is the best to ever grace a pitch, Neves added: “Of course, yes. For me, he’s the best ever, and I’m a really lucky guy to play with him.”
