It is thought Giles, 19, is on boss Sam Ricketts’ radar for his Shrewsbury squad in League One next season.

The exciting young attacker, from Telford, is highly thought of at the Premier Division club.

A significant number of clubs would be interested in taking Giles on loan but Shrewsbury could head the queue.

Giles, who has been in Hong Kong with Wolves’ under-23 side at a soccer sevens tournament, has previously been on loan at AFC Telford United.

He starred for the Bucks in his first stint in senior football by helping them avoid relegation in the 2017/18 season.

And Giles made his senior debut for Wolves on his 19th birthday in the FA Cup at Shrewsbury in January, playing as a left wing-back.

The speedster can play on either wing or as an attacking wing-back.

The Town boss plays a similar formation to that of Nuno Espirito Santo’s Premier League side, meaning that Giles could fit into one of the wing-back positions.

He was a regular in former Telford boss Rob Edwards’ Premier League 2 side that finished top of the second tier of academy football, playing 19 times, scoring once and creating four goals.

Ricketts spent time coaching in Wolves’ academy and has good links with the club he captained to the League One title in 2013/14.

Teenager Giles may yet be part of Nuno’s squad that visit China in July.

Ricketts will make five loan signings this summer, with the boss keen to use up all the loan allocations available to him in a league matchday squad.

The Town boss has already brought Dave Edwards and Scott Golbourne to the club, two former Molineux team-mates.

Ricketts may move quickly to assemble his squad this summer after revealing he is keen to have most of the group together for the trip to Portugal on July 7.

The boss wants a tight-knit squad but, should James Bolton, Lenell John-Lewis and Reice Charles-Cook agree new contracts, there will be 25 senior players on Town’s books.

Meanwhile, former Shrewsbury loanee Carlton Morris has joined Rotherham for the 2019/20 campaign from Premier League new-boys Norwich.

Morris was part of the Town team that reached the League One play-offs under Paul Hurst.
