Wolves boss Nuno: Lots of things wrong in Burnley loss

Nuno Espirito Santo feels there were 'a lot of things' wrong as Wolves slumped to a 2-0 defeat at relegation-battling Burnley.

Wolves fell behind just two minutes in at Turf Moor as Conor Coady slid the ball into his own net, trying to block Chris Wood's shot.

Dwight McNeil then made sure of the three points for the hosts in the second half.

Wolves remain seventh in the Premier League, but only on goal difference, and when asked what he puts the loss down to, Nuno said: "A lot of things.

"We must look at the game. We started very bad, conceding very early in a moment that requires focus, concentration, communication.

"The game became much more difficult for us.

"In the first half, both teams were compact, organised. In the second half, I think we started good.

"We had some moments of good football, a couple of chances.

"But Burnley are organised and after we rushed ourselves, we conceded the second goal.

"It was game over, and there are a lot of things we have to look at."

Wolves had a few chances to score early in the second period – the best one falling to Ivan Cavaleiro who blazed over from inside the box.

And on if that lack of ruthlessness cost them, Nuno added: "We must be clinical. But first, we must produce better.

"Only during the beginning of the second half, we were able to really cause some unbalance and danger.

"We must try to do all the game on, and especially look at our defensive organisation.

"We cannot concede a goal the way we did. It's clearly a big mistake of ourselves."
