Maurizio Sarri: Wolves just didn't want to play

Chelsea chief Maurizio Sarri has accused Wolves of not wanting to play after they grabbed their goal at Stamford Bridge.

Wolves struck against the run of play in the 55th minute as Raul Jimenez found the net, with the help of a Cesar Azpilicueta deflection.

It was their one and only effort on target before the Blues equalised through Eden Hazard.

Bringing on forwards Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Callum Hudson-Odoi and Willian helped Chelsea draw 1-1, and on why he made those substitutions, Sarri said: "For the first time, we were playing against a team who didn't want to play.

"They didn't counter-attack in the last 20 minutes, so we had to try."

Sarri is determined to finish in the Premier League's top four to save his job. Chelsea are currently sixth.

"We made a lot of mistakes, but we deserved to win," added Sarri.

"We were unlucky as we conceded from the first situation in our box.

"We need to improve in attack. We needed to move the ball faster.

"We played five touches against a very physical team with 11 players in the last 20 metres (of the pitch).

"We need to improve in this kind of situation."
