Neil Warnock: Wolves boss Nuno is my wife's favourite manager

Neil Warnock has surprisingly claimed his wife's favourite manager is Wolves chief Nuno Espirito Santo, adding: "He's a lovely man."

Warnock's Cardiff are heading to Molineux tomorrow looking to complete the double over Nuno's side.

Warnock refused to shake Nuno's hand after Wolves' dramatic victory at the Cardiff City Stadium last season, calling him a 'total disgrace', but has now changed his tune.

"Nuno has done a great job – he’s my missus’ favourite manager – he’s a lovely man as well," he said.

"We always have good games against them and I hope we can put in a good performance, not like the last two.”

The Bluebirds are going into the game on the back of heavy losses to Watford and Everton, while Wolves slipped to a disappointing 1-0 defeat at Huddersfield on Tuesday night.

“Wolves have always been solid at the back and had good midfield players," added Warnock.

"(Diogo) Jota and Jonny (Castro Otto) have fitted in really well, it’s not been a surprise to me that they’ve had good results against the top teams.”
