Rui Patricio

As against Newcastle his poor kick led to a big chance for the opposition – but on this occasion he redeemed himself with a solid save from Solanke. Patricio's wayward kicking remains a constant issue. Made a good stop to deny a Solanke header. 6/10

Ryan Bennett

A solid enough afternoon for Bennett who was up against the tricky Ryan Fraser but rarely let the Scot get the better of him. Could have used the ball better but overall he did well. 7/10

Conor Coady

Six clearances from Coady, the most of any Wolves player plus a pass accuracy of 92 per cent – higher than anyone on the field. Helped his team mates keep their discipline when chaos was ensuing thanks to a poor refereeing display. 7/10

Willy Boly

A couple of typically lackadaisical mistakes but defensively he was very good during a second half in which Bournemouth ramped up the pressure. Five clearances, four tackles, four headers and a couple of interceptions. 7/10

Matt Doherty

Drew a booking from Adam Smith inside a minute when racing into the Bournemouth half and was then fouled by the same player for the Wolves penalty (no booking, though). Missed a good chance when he glanced a Traore delivery across goal. 7/10

Ruben Neves

An off-day for Neves. Horribly sliced a pass out of play in the opening minutes and, other than one through ball for Jota, it didn't get much better. Was over-swamped in midfield and didn't exert his authority. Only two of his 11 long balls found their targets and his overall pass accuracy was way down at 71 per cent. Also didn't complete a single tackle. 5/10

Joao Moutinho

Had the sheer temerity to be elbowed in the mouth by Jefferson Lerma and was duly booed by the home fans. Moutinho was an angry man at the Vitality – you could see he felt aggrieved by the penalty decision (he was unwise to stick his boot in but it was still a very soft decision) and was terrier-like for the rest of the afternoon, snarling and snapping around midfield like an unfed chihuahua. His set pieces were absolutely spot on the money again and he was Wolves' most creative influence yet again. Four key passes was the most on the pitch. 8/10

Leander Dendoncker

Plenty of effort and endeavour from the lofty Belgian who could have equalised when an Ake clearance bounced off him and then tested Boruc with a powerful header in the second half. Defensively he was good but we didn't see enough quality from him on the ball. 6/10

Jonny Castro Otto

A great first half when he linked sublimely with Jota on a couple of occasions. Quieter going forward after the break. Six tackles was more than anyone on the field. 7/10

Raul Jimenez

Just the 12 goals this season now for Jimenez who took his penalty with more coolness than a cucumber with shades on. Some lovely touches to link play particularly from deep but wasn't involved in key areas as much as usual. The excellent Ake (14 clearances all game) helped subdue him. 6/10

Diogo Jota

Wolves' best player in the first half. Took the game to Bournemouth with him direct, fearless approach. A joy to watch when he's like that. Almost scored when he shrugged off a defender trying to foul him to fire a cross-shot across goal. Also teed up Jimenez for a 'goal' but was bizarrely judged to have fouled his man. After suffering with a dead leg in the past few weeks it was no surprise he faded in the second half and was subbed. 7/10

Substitutes

Ivan Cavaleiro (for Jota, 66)

Some nice moments here and there but didn't influence the game as much as he'd have wanted to. He had no complaints about the penalty he conceded – it was, of course, outside the box but he was played by Fraser who won the foul off him. 6/10

Adama Traore (for Dendoncker, 77)

A positive impact with some searching runs from his favoured wide right position. His crossing has certainly improved recently and one centre to Doherty was right on the money. Deserves more than just 13 minutes to impress next time. 7/10

Romain Saiss (for Jimenez, 88)

Sent on as Nuno switched formation. Was waiting to pounce and score a winner from a free kick but Ake got there first. N/A

Subs not used: Ruddy, Vinagre, Gibbs-White, Costa.
