Jonny Castro Otto: Moving to Wolves was easy decision
Jonny Castro Otto said it was an easy decision to join Wolves, after penning a four-and-a-half year contract.
The 24-year-old has moved from Atletico Madrid in a £15million move.
Otto has enjoyed a successful first half of the season on loan, playing 22 times.
And after joining permanently he said: "I am very happy here, the truth is that it was very easy to decide.
"The last few days we spoke about it and now it’s official, I’ll be Wolves for the next four years.
"They are treating me very well, there are great staff, great team mates and great supporters. It is a big club and really, I am very happy to be here.
"We’ve had conversations for a while, but everything has been very fast.
"The clubs reached an agreement and asked me what I thought and really from the first moment I said yes to Wolves because the truth is that I am very happy to be here.
"I really like this league, I really like Wolverhampton and I'm really happy to be here."
Otto, who said his Molineux debut in the Premier League was his stand-out moment so far, has been praised by boss Nuno Espirito Santo.
He said of the head coach: "Nuno has helped me a lot, before making this decision I spoke with him to know what he thought and what he wanted.
"From the first moment he helped me, he is a coach who also speaks Portuguese and Spanish and this helps me a lot. He is a coach who is giving me a lot.
"I’m not (surprised with Wolves' success), when I arrived I knew that the aspirations of the club were great.
"It was clear that there was a great team and atmosphere, from the beginning I knew what was coming.
"Last year I saw some games of Wolves and when I knew I was coming here I could learn more about the club.
"As partners, as a club, as a hobby we are having a great year and I hope we continue like this."
As for his hopes for the rest of the season, the wing-back said: "The same as the first, but even more. I think we have to think about continuing to improve, the team is working well but there is always room for improvement. I think that if we continue at this level we can be in a high position in the league."
