Wolves boss Nuno happy with Rui Patricio conclusion

Wolves have agreed to pay Sporting a fee of £16million for the Portugal international goalkeeper, having originally signed him on a 'free' transfer in June.

Nuno said: "In one part, I think having a final solution, for everybody, is good.

“It makes everyone happy. It’s the best.

“From that point of view, I’m very pleased with the end coming of the situation.

“The rest, Rui is here with us.

“He has to do his job. He is doing well. He’s one more player in the squad.”

Wolves head into today's game against Spurs looking to improve their goal tally, which has seen them muster nine in 10 games so far.

Nuno said there was only one solution on the training pitch to try and put that right.

“Practice, practice, practice," he added. "We work on it, that is the only recipe.

“When you practice, you don’t only practice the tactical and physical part of it, you also work on the mental part of it.

“The recipe is that you repeat your action and adjust over and over again.

“If an action is not good enough, you repeat it and improve on it, whether it’s your control or final touch. That is what we do.”

Forwards Diogo Jota, Helder Costa, Ivan Cavaleiro and Adama Traore have scored just two goals between them and provided no assists.

Nuno doesn't think it's down to a lack of confidence, though.

“What the team has produced is enough," he said.

“We’ve created chances, but we have to convert the chances.

“That’s no question of confidence, it’s a question of a better touch or better decision.

“And sometimes you have to give credit to your opponents when they defend well.

“It’s not easy. The hardest part of football is putting the ball into the net.

“We’ve been solid. A clean sheet is the first step for you, to be able to compete.

“We’ll try to repeat that defensive work and shape, but we have to improve in other aspects of the game.

“We just have to carry on playing the way we have been, in an improved way.”
