Nuno calls for Wolves reaction at Brighton
Nuno Espirito Santo has demanded a reaction from his players after last week's defeat to Watford.
Wolves travel to Brighton tomorrow looking to continue their record under Nuno of never having lost consecutive league games.
They can rise as high as sixth with a win, if results elsewhere go their way, ahead of games against North London giants Spurs and Arsenal before the next international break.
Nuno said: "Every time after a bad result and performance we have to bounce back.
"I'm expecting a good reaction.
"The performance is everything. We have to perform better, I expect that from my boys.
"Last week is over, we analysed, we work on it and now onto the next game.
"It was not a good game – many, many factors can be spoken but we analyse internally and go for the next one.
"No excuses, we didn't play good, it's finished."
Nuno has named the same XI for all nine of Wolves' Premier League games so far.
However Ivan Cavaleiro and Adama Traore are both pushing to be included after game-changing impacts from the bench in recent weeks.
"Let's see (if we make changes)," Nuno said. "We have to make a decision – every player worked very well this week."
However he hasn't had any players knocking on his door asking to start – and wouldn't expect them too either.
"When you have to make a statement, do it in a training session and, especially, when they come from the bench," he added.
"Many of the games have been decided from players coming off the bench. That energy is the best thing you can have – and we have it."
Chris Hughton's Brighton enjoyed an impressive home record last season, earning 29 points at the Amex to counteract having the worst away record in the league.
Nuno is impressed with the job Hughton has done – and doesn't mind if Glenn Murray plays tomorrow after the striker suffered concussion last weekend.
"Chris is doing a fantastic job, he's a fantastic coach and especially a gentleman," he added. "I really enjoy the time that I spent with him.
"We expect a tough game, Brighton are doing very well, especially at home where they're very strong.
"Good results, good performances, we expect a very tough game.
"The core of the team is there – they've been working together for a long, long time so the routines are there.
"It's a very well organised team with good players.
"The idea of building through time, you must keep the core and then develop the squad based on that core.
"Glenn Murray is a very good player, I know he's in doubt, so let's see what they decide.
"If he doesn't play they'll have another good and valid option."
