Nuno is in esteemed company as Manchester City's Pep Guardiola, Liverpool's Jurgen Klopp and Arsenal's Unai Emery are the others in with a chance of getting the gong for September.

Boly is up against some top players as well – Chelsea's Eden Hazard, Arsenal's Alexandre Lacazette, Leicester's James Maddison, Everton's Gylfi Sigurdsson and City's Raheem Sterling.

Wolves enjoyed an unbeaten month. They kicked it off with a 1-0 win at West Ham and followed that up with a victory by the same scoreline against Burnley at Molineux.

Then came perhaps the most eye-catching result of the lot, a 1-1 draw at Manchester United, before ending with a 2-0 home success over Southampton.

Meanwhile, wing-back Matt Doherty has been nominated for the PFA Premier League player of the month award.
