Steve Bull: Fans were brilliant for Premier League return

We are back to the Premier League and how brilliant were the fans to spur the team on?

I thought it was a half-decent game against Everton. We looked a bit nervous but we have now played our first game and know what to expect. Hopefully we get more out of the lads on Saturday.

I think the draw was a fair result. It was a foul on Diogo Jota and a red card for Phil Jagielka. When I first saw it I thought no as it happened so quickly. But when they slowed it down, he could have broken his ankle so I thought fair play, it was a sending off. We took the game to them after that and overall they had their chances and we had ours.

Ruben Neves started as he finished in the Championship. I think we know he is a skilful talent. You give him the ball outside of the box and you know where it will go. Not every shot will go that way but 99 per cent of the time he will hit the target. I think his free-kick was a cracking goal.

As for Raul Jimenez, what a way to get the crowd behind you and push you along. I think all Wolves fans love a good goal scorer. He has scored in nearly every game for Wolves so it just shows he is a top quality striker.

I thought everyone played as a unit and well together.

The only player who didn’t do too well was Will Boly. He was just off his game and a bit below par, maybe it was being in the Premier League but he looked a bit nervous. But he will get back to his normal ways against Leicester - don’t worry about that.

Ivan Cavaleiro being injured is a bit of a blow to be fair because he is a talented player. He is good to come off the bench and give you that spark. But Wolves have got other players to match that. All it will take is to get him back to full match fitness. I watched the game on BT Sport and I have to say, listening to the television, the noise was absolutely unbelievable inside Molineux.

We need the fans to get behind us, give us enough push and they were absolutely brilliant. We won’t play brilliantly every game but with the fans backing the players, they will try the best they can.
