The 23-year-old played a full game during Wolves’ goalless draw with Stoke City this week at the bet365 Stadium.

He joined Wolves in January 2014 and has made 72 appearances since then.

Hause said: “Minutes have been a thing I have been struggling to get in recent months or years to be fair so it was nice to get a full 90.

“You know training every day is good but you know you want to get your games, the minutes, and the stuff playing from the full 90 minutes, and today thankfully, I got that.”

He added: “It was a good test, a good run-out against a strong Stoke side.

“I thought the boys played well, we had a few chances to win, I think we kept them quiet to be fair, they didn’t really have any chances.

“We defended well but you know it is just another step closer to the season.

“Yes it was a good run-out for the boys.”

Boss Nuno opted to give a few fringe players a chance on the pitch.

Among them was Ryan Giles, Pedro Goncalves, Oskar Burr, Benny Ashley-Seal and Cameron John.

Hause told how he enjoys being able to help mentor younger players who are working their way up the ranks.

He said: “ I would like to think I am an experienced player now you know.

“I have just turned 23 and I feel I have played quite a few games at a decent level in the Championship so yes I feel like I am not a young boy anymore.

“I think I am an old experienced player that can help the young players and get them through the games and teach them a few things.”

And Hause revealed Wolves’ younger players have impressed during pre-season training.

They have been training with the senior side this summer.

Hause said: “Yes the youngsters coming through are all good players.

“They have all done well during pre-season training with us day in, day out, and they have all set the mark for themselves now to kick on and see what they can do this season.”

Now Wolves turn their attention to facing Derby on Saturday in their next friendly game of pre-season, which takes place at Pride Park Stadium at 3pm.

Hause is expecting a higher intensity game than the one at Stoke, especially as Derby’s season starts a week earlier in the Championship than Wolves who are now in the Premier League.

“It is definitely going to be more of a test for us,” said Hause.

“They are close to the season and they want to be ready and raring to go.”

Reflecting on Wolves’ pre-season preparations, Hause says they have been going well.

“All the players have really dug deep and bought into the manager and the manager’s backroom staff, bought into the ideas well and we have been working hard with no days off really.

“Hopefully it will pay off come the first day of the Premier League season.”
