Wolves ended the H-Hotels Cup with a 0-0 draw against Real Betis.
It was thought a penalty shoot-out would decide who would finish third in the four-team tournament, but it all ended rather abruptly for Nuno Espirito Santo's charges.
Young forward Benny Ashley-Seal looked a threat with his pace and power, and forced a decent save from Pau Lopez on the quarter-hour mark.
John Ruddy was sharp between the sticks too for Wolves, denying Sergio Leon's effort from inside the box. Ivan Cavaleiro skied a long-range strike towards the end of the 45-minute affair.
