The striker has agreed personal terms with the Championship side and the deal will be announced imminently.

Wolves took up the option of signing Afobe at the end of his five-month loan deal for £10m on June 1.

He had scored six goals since re-joining the club on loan from Bournemouth in January.

However just a couple of days after his £10m capture there was speculation that Wolves were prepared to sell him on for an instant £2m profit – and the deal with Gary Rowett's Stoke has now been completed.

As one striker leaves another is set to arrive with the impending signing of Mexico international striker Raul Jimenez on loan from Benfica, which like the Afobe deal could be announced today.
