Wolves completed permanent deals for Willy Boly, Diogo Jota and Benik Afobe in a £33m triple move this month – authorised by chairman Jeff Shi.

And 91 per cent of supporters believe Fosun need to fork out at least another £30m on new players, according to our fans’ survey.

Forty-six per cent said they even wanted the hierarchy to spend an extra £50m.

Wolves are currently being linked with a host of big-money signings this summer thanks to their strong financial backing and links with super-agent Jorge Mendes. They have included Portuguese stars Joao Cancelo for £35 million from Valencia and Goncalo Guedes from Paris Saint Germain.

The survey revealed 85 per cent of fans were happy with Wolves’ relationship with Mendes, which has received criticism in some quarters in football.

And as boss Nuno Espirito Santo prepares to build his squad over the summer, supporters said Wolves’ attacking options needed strengthening the most.

Fans also said they most wanted Benik Afobe to sign on a permanent deal – that has now happened, but he looks set for an immediate switch to Stoke City for £12m.

New Potters boss Gary Rowett yesterday identified Afobe as the type of player he wants to bring in, at his first press conference since taking over at the Bet365 Stadium, but refused to be drawn on specific targets.

Rowett said: “Goals was an issue last season so of course that’s something we want to rectify. In my opinion we should be trying to sign the type of player that, age wise, fits the profile we are after and are good enough to play in this division and also the division above should we achieve our goal.”

Meanwhile striker Aaron Collins, 21, has signed for Colchester on loan.
