The players will jet off after the club's end of season awards.

There had been suggestions Wolves were to visit China for an official post-season promotional tour.

However the players will instead treat themselves to a Vegas holiday - a trip fully sanctioned by the club.

A trip to China is likely to be arranged for a later date with club officials and owners Fosun keen to tap into the lucrative Chinese market.

Managing director Laurie Dalrymple told the Express & Star: "There'll be something done at some point.

"Clearly we know from a fanbase, commercial and marketing perspective it's an area we want to engage with.

"We've said in the past promotion is a sizeable activator for us growing in China.

"It's not quite like a light switch – "now that you're in you've got 15 million fans" – but clearly you're in the shop window now which makes that process significantly easier if we want to try and drive the commercial value of the club in territories outside of Europe and expand our fan base.

"There are various strategies we're deploying. By virtue of the fact we've got knowledge and expertise within our staff already that's something we'll be looking to develop in a short space of time."
