Wolves promotion party tickets sell out in just 50 minutes
All 30,000 of the free tickets were snapped up this morning.
Tickets to Wolves' promotion party in West Park have sold out just 50 minutes after being released.
The free tickets were made available online at 10am today but, despite being limited to four per person, all 30,000 of them were snapped up in under an hour.
Beverley Knight will be performing at the Bank Holiday Monday extravaganza, where Wolves players, staff and supporters will celebrate the club's return to the Premier League after a six-year absence.
Manager Nuno and his squad will also be showing off the Championship Trophy they lifted on Saturday.
Ex-Wolves goalkeeper Matt Murray is hosting the event and will be joined by various guests throughout the day, while local band Project 21 will also play a set.
Fans who were unable to secure a ticket to the 'Promotion Party in the Park’ will be able to cheer on the Wolves squad as they make their way from the city centre to West Park on an open-top bus tour.
However fans with tickets will not be able to see the parade and the party as nobody will be allowed into the park after 11.30am - one hour after gates open.
Two open-top buses will leave Wolverhampton Art Gallery at midday. They will travel down Lichfield Street, through Queen Square, down Darlington Street, turn into Waterloo Road, across the ring road, turn into Newhampton Road East, Lansdowne Road and along Park Road East before arriving at West Park at around 12.45pm.
A big screen will stream the park party live in Queen Square for fans in the city centre, while fans in West Park will also be able to watch the bus parade on big screens.
Prior to the bus tour, Wolves players and staff will attend a private civic reception hosted by Wolverhampton council's deputy mayor, Councillor Phil Page.
Keith Ireland, managing director of Wolverhampton council, said: “We are delighted to be working with Wolves to help celebrate the club’s outstanding season. Bank Holiday Monday will be party time.
“There is a real feel-good vibe in the city right now and a sense that the city is on the up.
"Having a Premier League football team is a source of enormous pride for the whole city.”
