Steve Bull: Ruben Neves' goal one of the best I’ve seen at Wolves

The goal has created quite a lot of buzz, not just among Wolves fans but supporters all over the country – and rightly so. It was that good.

The way he has set the ball up, took a step back and volleyed it right into the top corner, he should not be able to do that.

Absolutely tremendous. He does not do six-yard tap-ins, does he?

It will live long in the memory for us supporters, but it was not all about the goal.

The whole performance was fantastic, getting that 2-0 win and barely being troubled.

I was there for Sky Sports and I wondered ‘Is it down to Derby not turning up, or Wolves just being too hot to handle?’

And I think it was the latter. Every single one of them were at it, from the first whistle right up until the last.

On and off the ball, you could not fault them. They did not let Derby hit their stride and they deserve a lot of credit for doing that, not letting up one bit in the second half.

For Gary Rowett, it was just one of those nights where you have to hold your hands up and recognise you have been beaten by the better team.

I have to mention Diogo Jota’s goal too which, while not as spectacular as Neves’s, was superb.

It was a really cool finish, and him and Neves would not look out of place in the Premier League.

That ball from Willy Boly as well – he is a big lad, but he has a lot to his game.

Getting him signed up permanently in the summer must be high on Wolves’ to-do list.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s side have been a joy to watch this season and hopefully promotion will be wrapped up when the weekend is over.

Cardiff dropping points at Norwich and clinching the title would be great too.

Of course, promotion comes first and foremost but this team would certainly be worthy title winners.

Birmingham are coming to town tomorrow and it is going to be a tough test.

Blues are going to roll their sleeves up, ready for a scrap as relegation is still very much a possibility for Garry Monk’s team.

They are aiming to spoil the party – and Nuno and his players will be well aware of that.

With Fulham taking on Brentford this evening, we may not even have to kick a ball for promotion to the promised land to be confirmed.

I quite fancy Brentford to go and pull off an upset down at Craven Cottage as well.

They are a good team, with a good manager in Dean Smith and some dangerous players going forward.

Either way, let’s keep our fingers crossed tomorrow will be a day to remember.
