Dave Jones, Paul Butler and Matt Murray will be at Molineux on May 26

On May 26, it will be 15 years to the day since Wolves beat Sheffield United 3-0 at the Millennium Stadium and clinched promotion to the Premier League via the play-offs.

And the manager, club captain and man of the match from that famous day in Cardiff will join 200 guests at a special Millennium Stadium Memories event.

Dave Jones, Paul Butler and Matt Murray are the special guests for the night – which will raise money for Cure Leukaemia and the National Autistic Society.

Fans can asked questions of the trio and have their picture taken with the trophy Wolves lifted in Cardiff back in 2003.

There will also be a charity raffle and silent auction and organisers hope to raise £5,000 for charity.

Wolves' triumph at Cardiff was one of the greatest days in their modern history

Liam Price, one of the event’s organisers, said: “Cardiff will live long in the memory for many fans, a culmination of 19 years of frustration and near misses all being released in one fantastic 90-odd minutes.

“We wanted to mark what was a major game in our history and we were delighted when Wolves said we could have a room at Molineux 15 years on from the exact date.

“It was then a case of inviting some of the main people behind the victory and we couldn’t believe it when Dave Jones, Paul Butler and penalty-saving Matt Murray agreed to join us on the evening.

“The bigger picture is raising lots of money for two fantastic charities...Cure Leukaemia and the National Autistic Society.”

Jones’s team comfortably beat Neil Warnock’s Blades in front of almost 70,000 in Cardiff with goals from Mark Kennedy, Nathan Blake and Kenny Miller.

All the goals came in the first half and Murray saved a penalty from Michael Brown shortly after half time to preserve Wolves’ lead.

Packages for Millennium Stadium Memories start at £1000 for a Gold Table (VIP ‘meet and greet’, photo with trophy and players), £750 for Silver and the option for individuals or groups of two or three to attend through the Bronze option. All include a three-course meal.
