Wolves winger Diogo Jota shares image after ankle injury
Diogo Jota has shared an image of his injured ankle following last night's 3-0 Molineux success against Reading.
Nuno Espirito Santo's men responded to Saturday's setback at Villa with a clinical display against the struggling Royals, extending their gap to third to 10 points.
But one sour note was the loss of Jota, who was helped off midway through the first period after a lengthy break in play.
The winger could not put any weight on his right foot while exiting the Molineux pitch after what appeared an innocuous challenge. Team-mate Matt Doherty said after the game that an assistant referee told him Wolves' winger had rolled his own ankle.
But Jota took to Instagram to share an image of his badly swollen ankle and a cut, suggesting he was unhappy that there was no punishment given to the Reading player.
The image carried the caption 'No words and no card', while Jota also added 'Well done boys'.
Jota could be in line to miss Saturday's visit of Burton before Wolves enter the two week international break.
