Bully: Time for Wolves to roll their sleeves up

After a poor week it's definitely "roll your sleeves up" time for Wolves as they look to get back on track.

The Fulham defeat wasn't a huge shock as they're a very good side – I was impressed with them.

I thought in the first half we saw two good teams having a go at each other and it was pretty even.

Then they got the goal which seemed to stun us a bit and we found it hard to recover.

It was a poor goal to concede defensively with a number of individual errors – but those are the kind of things you can sort out and work on so I'm not too concerned.

The second half we weren't great at all and just created that one chance at the end – I don't know how Diogo Jota missed it.

Perhaps his confidence is a bit low as that wasn't like him at all.

We huffed and puffed a lot and I don't think it was down to a lack of effort as they were chasing everything, but it was just one of those days.

There was definitely a lack of concentration and Ruben Neves was missed in midfield, but whether he'd have made a difference to the result I don't know.

I watched Leo Bonatini closely up front and although, again, there was no lack of effort, he didn't exactly stake a claim to stay in the starting XI.

He could have done more to say 'give me the shirt' and, like the rest of the team, he lacked sharpness.

Fulham struggled at the start of the season but they've come good now and you won't get many teams beating them between now and the end of the season.

We've just got to get back to that sharpness and vitality we had only a few weeks ago because the chasing pack will start to think they can catch us if we drop more points in the next week.

Cardiff has shrunk the gap to six points after winning a few in a row but don't worry they'll come unstuck again – hopefully in time for when we play them next month!

They're on a great run of form but even still, it's the gap to third that matters and it's still 10 points.

There's also the small matter of a big derby at Villa on the horizon next weekend and we've got to look at our next two games as a big opportunity to go there with at least that 10-point gap intact.

Or the dream scenario is winning out next two and they lost a couple and all of sudden it's 16 points.

Staying positive is important as Wolves are in an absolutely fantastic position and despite a run of two points in three games that shouldn't be forgotten.
