Done deal: Wolves sell Lee Evans to Sheffield United
Lee Evans has left Wolves to join Sheffield United in a deal believed to be worth £750,000.
The midfielder has penned a three and a half year deal at Bramall Lane.
He had spent the first half of the season on loan with League One leaders Wigan Athletic but was recalled by Wolves at the weekend after the Blades had a bid accepted.
The 23-year-old said: "I would like to thank Wolves for giving the opportunity to play at such a big club and thank the supporters who were good to me during my time there.
"I have thoroughly enjoyed my five years with Wolves and I hope the club continues to enjoy the success it has so far this season."
Wolves signed Evans from Newport County five years ago this month.
He played 67 times for the club – including 26 appearances in the League One title winning side – and scored three goals in total.
Blades boss Chris Wilder said of his new signing: "Lee is a great age with his best years ahead of him. We've watched him and monitored his progress for a while and we're delighted to get him permanently.
"He is a young international, he fits in with what we're about and is an excellent player who we hope will add further depth and competition to our midfield."
Sheffield United – who have two more ex-Wolves men in their ranks in Leon Clarke and Richard Stearman – are due at Molineux on February 3.
Evans becomes the fifth player to leave Wolves either permanently or on loan this month.
Jack Price joined Colorado Rapids on Monday, while Connor Ronan and Sylvain Deslandes have moved to Portsmouth on loan and Prince Oniangue signed for French signed Angers on a six-month loan deal.
Michal Zyro and Ben Marshall are expected to depart and Duckens Nazon and Joe Mason could be sent out on loan again after temporary deals at Coventry and Burton ended last week.
