Here we rate the players after Nuno Espirito Santo's men secured an eighth win in nine matches.

John Ruddy

Experienced a brief moment of alarm in the opening half when he almost let a Conor Coady backpass under his foot. Dealt with everything else comfortably. 6/10.

Ryan Bennett

An assured performance at the back. Threatened with a second half header which cannoned off a defender but looped just wide of the post. 7/10.

Conor Coady

The skipper was relieved to see his first-half backpass eventually controlled by Ruddy. Dealt well with aerial balls and kept things moving for Wolves, directing the defence with confidence. 7/10.

Willy Boly

Created the first clear-cut opening with a lofted pass which sent Jota clean through. A fearsome presence in the air, one second half challenge in particular drawing gasps from the crowd. 7/10.

Matt Doherty

Got through plenty of work on the right flank but somewhat quiet in the final third. His delivery was at times disappointing. 6/10.

Romain Saiss

Found himself dropping deeper and deeper in the opening half in a bid to get things started. Should have scored with a header late on from a Neves cross but was otherwise excellent. 8/10.

Barry Douglas

Back in the team after injury and always looking to get forward. Came within inches of netting with a late free-kick which dropped just the wrong side of the post. 6/10.

Ivan Cavaleiro

A bustling performance from the forward, who scored and might well have had another but for an excellent Adam Webster challenge. Took his goal superbly. 7/10.

Leo Bonatini

A workmanlike performance without reward for the Brazilian. Held the ball up well but didn’t have a notable effort on goal. 5/10.

Diogo Jota

A frustrating afternoon for the Portuguese forward, though he never lost heart. Some eye-catching passing. 6/10.

STAR MAN: Ruben Neves

Impressed hugely in the middle of the park where he dictated the tempo, rarely wasted a pass and was always aiming to play the ball forward, while never looking flustered. Seems to have an age on the ball compared to other players. Provided a late cross from which Saiss should have scored. 8/10.
