Nuno Espirito Santo's squad face Pep Guardiola's superstars in the fourth round of the Carabao Cup.

They'll be backed by an army of more than 6,000 fans at the Etihad – with hundreds more watching back at Molineux.

And N'Diaye, one of few Wolves men to have faced Guardiola's City before, thinks they can pull off a big cup shock.

"If we go with a good attitude we can win," he said. "We’re 11, they’re 11, we can win.

"Every game we try to win. We’re not going there to lose – if so we stay at home.

"It’s one of the best teams in Europe. We have to be strong, play together, fighting and do our best.

"If not they’ll win for sure because it’s a very good team."

N'Diaye looks set to start tonight with Nuno likely to make a raft of changes, as he has done in previous rounds.

The 27-year-old came off the bench during Saturday's 3-2 win over Preston.

He ranked that the hardest game since he arrived from Villarreal on loan – and believes Wolves' confidence will stand them in good stead, as will his previous game at City for Hull last season, a 3-1 defeat.

"Preston was the hardest game so far for me, I arrived on September 1 and they have a very good team in my opinion," he said.

"But we showed our character. It’s good for our confidence.

"It was a hard game (at Man City). Our coach was Marco Silva, he tried to block the midfield. They play very well in midfield, David Silva, De Bruyne, lots of players.

"Even the wingers come inside so we have to be strong in the centre of the field.

"I will try to help my team mates. I’m one of the oldest players, I played against Man City and I know how to play against them so I’ll try to help them."
