The 22-year-old joins from Swiss side FC Winterthur after previously playing for Lausanne-Sport. He has moved for an undisclosed fee and will go into Scott Sellars' under-23 squad.

Right-footed midfielder Yang was born in Switzerland of Chinese descent and has played for the Swiss Under-20.

He said: “I am really excited.

“It is a big club in England and it is a great chance for me to come here and progress and hopefully then get a chance to play and help the team.

“I have dreamt of playing in England many times and it has the biggest league in the world.

“It is good that I am coming to a club with Chinese owners and maybe that plays a role for me as well.

"I am just really excited to get started.

"I go back to Switzerland for the weekend and then I come back on Monday and I am really looking forward to it.”

Wolves have also signed Jose Nuno Rodrigues Xavier from the Portuguese Primeira Liga.

The 20-year-old striker has signed until the end of this season with an option of a further year and also joins up with Sellars' under-23 squad.
