A 25-yard screamer from Pedro Goncalves and a late second from substitute Sherwin Seedorf saw Wolves run out winners at Molineux.

Wolves dominated the game against a young Albion line-up.

Sellars said: “I’d like to think it was a convincing win.

“The first goal was always going to be important and when we got it was always going to dictate how the game went.

“West Brom came with a plan to make it difficult and defend deep and make it hard for us to get in between.

“It was a fantastic strike from Pedro which gets us the first goal and from then on I thought we were in control.

“It’s important we get minutes for some of the boys who are training really well.”

After a 5-1 hammering at Blackburn in their first match of the season, Wolves have recovered with two wins and two clean sheets.

Sellars added: “It was a strange game. We said to the lads to prove it was a blip and they’ve done that.

“There’s a real togetherness and consistency about them in the way they play, how they train and everything they do.

“As I’ve said for quite a while they’re a really good group to work with.

“The young players that are coming in are helping. We’re really pleased with how they’re developing.

Captain and centre-half Connor Johnson agreed that it was a fairly comfortable victory – and praised Goncalves for his wonder-goal.

“We didn’t have a lot to do in defence, I don’t think Harry (Burgoyne) had a save to make,” he said.

“(Pedro is) a very good player. I didn’t expect him to shoot from there but it was a great goal.

“The reaction (Since Blackburn) has been good. The defeat shook us up a bit and we’ve gone from there with a good reaction.”

Johnson was on the bench for Wolves’ Carabao Cup win at Southampton.

Nuno watched Monday’s game against Albion. The defender added: “Southampton was a great experience. When Walter Zenga was here I was on the bench (at Molineux) but to go away and stay overnight was great for all the young lads.

“It’s good that he was here. I’ve got to keep on improving and working hard.”
