Bully: I'd keep Nouha Dicko

It looks like Dave Edwards is close to moving to Reading. It’s not a huge surprise to see him leave but he’s been a great servant to the club over many years.

He’s been the worker bee, he’s given everything to Wolves and I think he’s been brilliant.

I don’t think any Wolves fan will begrudge him a good move if it’s going to mean more game time, particular seen as he’s 31 and it’s a World Cup year too if Wales qualify.

Another who looks like he might possibly go is Nouha Dicko.

Personally I’d keep Nouha, he’s scored a couple of goals this season and is a good asset. He can be a wildcard from the bench and help stretch defences.

But Nuno knows what he wants and it’s likely they’re looking at signing a striker anyway, so we’ll see what happens.

The past week has seen two contrasting results, firstly the 2-1 defeat to Cardiff which was a disappointing game.

I thought we were bullied out of it. Neil Warnock always sets his team up like that and we knew what we were going to get, but we didn’t deal with it.

We played some nice pretty football but we needed to roll our sleeves up a bit and mix the nice football with the ugly fooball.

Some teams will look at that and say ‘that’s how to beat Wolves’. Scouts will have been at the game and see what Cardiff did that was so effective.

So we can expect a few teams to try the same tactics and we need to toughen up.

I like the style of football they’re playing, so if they can perfect that and toughen up a bit then we’ll be a better team for it.

Then on Wednesday the second string side got a fantastic result at Southampton.

Some of the performances will have given Nuno plenty to think about. It’s not a team game now, it’s a squad game and Nuno will need all of them this season.

The key to keeping them happy is good man management and Nuno seems to know what he’s doing.

It’ll be a tough test at Brentford today. They’re bottom of the league but they’re a decent side.

Hopefully we can sign off for the international break with a win and keep the momentum going.
