New Wolves kit: Thousands snap up away shirt
Wolves fans flocked to buy the new away shirt, with the club shifting more than 2,000 over the weekend.
The change strip for 2017/18 has proven popular with supporters, with many giving it the thumbs-up on social media following its launch on Saturday. More than 1,000 were sold on Saturday – a record for an away shirt on the first day of sale.
The shirt, which is black with a gold stripe running down the side, was unveiled at the same time as new record signing Ruben Neves.
Many fans were taken by surprise as the £15 million arrival from Porto was pictured wearing the new shirt. Within hours, supporters were arriving at the club shop eager to get their hands on it. Adult shirts cost £45 and a junior version is £35. The total number of shirts sold so far was from the club shop and and online.
The reaction to the launch was overwhelmingly popular on Facebook and Twitter, with many fans labelling the shirt as the club’s best for years.
It followed the release of the new home shirt last month and comes as new boss Nuno Espirito Santo continues to shape his squad ahead of the new season. Several new signings have already arrived at Molineux including Willy Boly and goalkeeper John Ruddy.
