Wolves frustration over Philip Heise move
Wolves have been in talks over signing German left-back Philip Heise – but are prepared to walk away due to frustrations over the negotiations.
It's understood the 26-year-old Dynamo Dresden defender has been on the club's radar for some time.
Heise, valued at £3million, only moved to Dresden from Stuttgart in January.
However Wolves have been frustrated in their efforts to sign him. Sources suggest Dresden have proved difficult to deal with and Wolves feel they've already spent too long negotiating financial details of the deal.
Unless there's a change in tack from the German second tier club then Wolves will move on to other targets.
Heise began his career with Fortuna Dusseldorf II in 2010 before he joined German third tier club Preussen Munster.
He spent a season in the Bundesliga with Stuttgart in 2015/16, making five league appearances, before the switch to Dresden in January.
Wolves signed left back Barry Douglas last weekend but he is the only natural first-team left back at the club.
Five defenders have joined already this summer – Douglas, Roderick Miranda, Ryan Bennett, Phil Ofosu-Ayeh and Willy Boly, with the latter signing on loan from Porto on Saturday morning.
