Defender Silvio leaves Wolves
Portuguese defender Silvio has left Wolves after the club decided against extending his contract.
The 29-year-old joined from Atletico Madrid last summer and signed a one-year deal with a option of a second season.
However that option hasn't been taken up and the full back leaves after making just five appearances for the club.
He endured an injury-hit season which included a four-month absence with a broken foot. Silvio surprisingly returned to the fold towards the end of the season, playing – and impressing – in games against Huddersfield and Preston.
He becomes the fifth permanent signing to leave the club this summer. James Henry and Mike Williamson were also released, while George Saville and Jed Wallace today completed moves to Championship rivals Millwall.
Wolves also decided against pursuing permanent moves for loanees Richard Stearman and Andreas Weimann.
