Deadline day: Joao Teixeira leaves Wolves in deal with Nottingham Forest

Midfielder Joao Teixeira has left Wolves and joined Nottingham Forest on-loan for the remainder of the season.

The 22-year-old found playing time under Paul Lambert limited, last appearing in Wolves' 2-1 loss to Cardiff in December.

Like Wolves, Nottingham Forest have strong links in Portugal, helping them push through the deal to bring him to the City Ground.

The deal, like that of Ola John is a sub-loan, which means that Wolves are the club loaning the player to Forest whilst Benfica still own him.

Teixeira made 20 appearances for Wolves this season, scoring two goals both of which came in the 3-1 win over Brentford in September.
