Jon Dadi Bodvarsson believes in Paul Lambert's Wolves revolution

Striker Jon Dadi Bodvarsson says he can already see improvements in Wolves under Paul Lambert.

Wolves are on their worst winless run for four years and have been sucked towards to the Championship drop-zone with no victory since September.

But after three weeks on the training ground, Lambert has clearly made his mark. And Bodvarsson is impressed.

He said: "One of the biggest differences is the work rate in our game – we're playing faster, defending better as a unit. We're working on attacking and defending and things are improving.

"Paul and Stuart (Taylor) came with a plan and it's a clear message for the guys on the team, what their job is.

"Everybody is taking it very positively and we're improving a lot.

"It wasn't a pleasure for the fans to watch (at Preston) but we took a lot of positives from it. We were really good defensively and possession-wise we were quite good as well. We just needed to be more clinical in the final third.

Bodvarsson hasn't scored since August and admits he hasn't been at his best of late.

"I started really well (this season) but in the last few games, not just me, the whole team hasn't been at their best," he added. "That happens in football. You keep your head up, look yourself in the mirror and work harder every day.

"I put a lot of pressure on myself. I want more."

The Icelandic striker was joined by youngster Bright Enobakhare up front last Saturday.

Bodvarsson can see a big future for the 18-year-old. "He did really well in a tough game," Bodvarsson said.

"I think he's a very exciting player and has a bright future.

"That's what makes him a bit special. He had a lot of confidence and knows what he's capable of."

Lambert has already stated he'll have no hesitation in throwing Wolves' kids – the most talented group he's seen in recent years – into the fray.

The Wolves boss said the youngsters already had the respect of Wolves' first-teamers.

"There's a good group of older guys here who know the club and how it works," he said.

"To be fair to the young ones, when they come up they've got respect of the older ones, which is important. And they get that because the older lads know they can play. That's the key to it."

Carl Ikeme is back in contention after coming through a full week's training, while Joe Mason is also nearing a first-team return after a month out.

Lambert is keen for his team to show more going forward, after last week's 0-0 draw at Preston.

"Ideally we want to be better going forward and we need to add a little bit more to our game," he said.

"But first and foremost you've got to stay in the game, to have that opportunity. I thought we did that really well at Preston and as a defensive performance it was strong.

"We gave as good as we got. Going forward we want to create more and over time that's the stage we'll get to.

"It'll be a really tough game, they're a good side.

"They're up there again, they've invested well.

"But that's not to say that we can't win. We'll be ready for it."
