Steve Bull's new book launched in Wolves style
Wolves legend Steve Bull rolled back the years as he unveiled his new book in style at Molineux.
The 306-goal striker launched Bully: Forever Wolves in the stadium's WV1 bar last night.
Ex-team-mates Andy Thompson and Robbie Dennison joined Bully as well as 200 friends, family and fans at the official launch of the book, hosted by radio presenter Dicky Dodd.
The book tells the story of Bully's 30-year association with Wolves, charting his remarkable rise to fame and his life since hanging up his boots.
It has been jointly compiled by the Express & Star and Wolves and written by our Wolves correspondent Tim Spiers, along with Wolves media relations manager Paul Berry.
Bully signed for Wolves on November 20, 1986 and he is also hosting a 30th anniversary dinner at Molineux tomorrow evening.
Wolves have also designated their next home game against Sheffield Wednesday on November 26 as a special tribute game to Bully and Thompson, who both joined from Albion for a combined fee of
£70,000.
Both players will be presented on the pitch and tickets for the game have been slashed to half price.
"It's been a great night," said Bull. "There have been 200 people here and it's been absolutely superb.
"I've loved putting the book together and it looks great. I've loved reflecting on the past 30 years.
"Andy Thompson and Robbie Dennison were here and they've played a big part of my career here and we've stayed as good mates.
"We support each other in life and in football and I always love seeing them.
"The whole thing has been a great idea and a great project and I think the finished product looks really good."
Express & Star sports editor Russell Youll said: "Bully's incredible career is one of the most famous sporting stories ever to emanate from the Black Country.
"In the space of just a few years he went from working in a builders' yard in Tipton to playing in a World Cup for England.
"And his goalscoring exploits for Wolves are the stuff of legend. To bag 306 goals in total, score 100 in two seasons, be Wolves' top scorer for eight years in a row and notch18 hat-tricks along the way is quite remarkable.
"Bully is a great ambassador for the club and the city and we're proud to have been so heavily involved in the creation of this book."
Bully: Forever Wolves is available now priced £14.99.
Copies can be ordered online at bullybully.net/shop or at the Wolves club shop. They will also be on sale around the ground before the Sheffield Wednesday game and Bully will be doing a number of signing sessions in the coming weeks, details of which are on the 'Steve Bull MBE' Facebook
page.
