Wolves sign Benfica's Ola John and Manchester United's Cameron Borthwick-Jackson on loan
Wolves have confirmed the signings of Benfica's Ola John and Manchester United's Cameron Borthwick-Jackson on season-long loan deals, it has been confirmed.
Both players have completed medicals at Compton Park and will be available for tomorrow night's Capital One Cup tie against Cambridge United, subject to international clearance for John.
Borthwick-Jackson impressed Louis Van Gaal at Manchester United last season, but Jose Mourinho has allowed the youngester to move to Molineux in order to gain more first team experience.
Wolves general manager Andrea Butti attended United's 2-0 Premier League win over Southampton on Friday night and his excellent relationship with Joe Mourinho was key to the deal.
The 19-year-old has been capped by England all the way up to Under-19 level and made his senior debut at home to West Bromwich Albion last November.
He went on to make 14 first team appearances for United last season, including high-profile games against the likes of Chelsea and Liverpool.
He was voted the Reserve Player of the Year at Old Trafford.
John was previously on a season long loan at Reading and fans of the the Royals were keen for him to stay.
The 24-year-old Dutch international will provide much need competition on the wing for Walter Zenga as Wolves look to build on their excellent start to the season.
